About Me
Hey Peeps, I made this page basically because the Red Ring of Death SUCKS. That and the fact that sending out your Xbox 360 to get fixed can take forever and cost $100.00 or more. I had a friend send his out and it took almost 3 months before he got it back. After a lot of searching I found a way to do fix it myself, cheap!! This site is here to help you fix your RROD and save some cash, you can check it out for yourself by Clicking HERE

So at this point you may be wondering, is it really easy enough to fix your Xbox on your own? If it is then why would Xbox Service be so expensive? Lets answer the second question first. Although paying $100 or more for xbox repair service may seem expensive it’s really not that bad. Now there is an Xbox Repair Guide that says you can fix it yourself in about an hour you may not want to spend the time doing it yourself. Let’s face it to many people time is money and it might just be worth the money to pay someone else to fix it.

Another reason you may not try Xbox repair yourself is simply, you just hate doing things like that. I know there are plenty of things I can’t stand doing myself so I pay someone else to do them. Think about something as simple as coffee. People will pay $1.50 and up for a cup of regular coffee when they can make it home for more then 10 times less. But, it’s quicker, more convenient and there is no clean up if you spend the $1.50 or more. So maybe you just hate fixing things and it’s worth it for you to pay for Xbox Service.

So with that all being said you may want to save yourself some money on Xbox repair and just do it yourself. The first thing you need to do is find out exactly how to fix your Xbox 360. There is a lot of information around but much of it is incomplete, vague or just plain wrong. For me taking on a project like this would mean finding an idiot proof Xbox repair system that will take me by the hand and walk me through every step.

After a lot of searching I found a pretty cool Xbox repair guide. It has a lot of great reviews and a crazy guarantee. They say ” Fix Your Xbox 360′s 3 Red Light Errors in an hour or your money back – No questions asked” Now that’s a pretty bold guarantee but from all the reviews I have read they are pretty legit. The thing I like about this Xbox repair guide is it’s not just a video or a written manual but both. There are certain things I digest better in video while some that I need to read for it to sink in. With this system you get the written PDF manuals and 3 videos on Xbox repair. They are all step by step and very easy to understand. You will basically have your Xbox back up and running in 14 steps. One thing to note here is that if your Xbox is under warranty then fixing it yourself will void that warranty. If you still have a valid warranty you can get free Xbox Service from Microsoft. This Xbox repair guide is if you do not have a valid warranty anymore and want to save some money fixing your Xbox. You can download the Xbox Repair guide and videos by

Xbox Repair Guide Review

After a lot of research on Xbox Repair I found The James Dean 3 Red Light Fix Pro. I had been reading about different guides as well as watching a ton of videos on the subject. As with any search on the internet there was some good stuff and some absolute crap. If you’re currently looking for an Xbox 360 repair you may want to go check out The James Dean 3 Red Light Fix Pro Xbox Repair Guide

xbox repairXbox repair, It’s a sore subject for a lot of people. You go to fire up your Xbox 360 and get the dreaded red lights of death. Sometimes you can get it to work for a little while and others not but eventually it’s going to shut down all together. Next most will look into sending it to Microsoft only to find that even with a Warranty your going to pay $25 or more for shipping and wait from 6- 8 weeks for your Xbox repair. And if your warranty is up tack on $140 or more to the price tag, ouch. All that and there is still no guarantee your getting a working Xbox back.

Now if you do a simple search for Xbox Repair you will find there is a lot of stuff out there that’s not only useless but could do more damage to your system. If you have not heard of the “towel trick” then just do a search. This has to be the craziest thing someone could have ever thought up. I even read somewhere you have a better chance of setting your Xbox on fire then fixing it. Not really my kind of odds.

So the other option is to simply fix the Xbox yourself but if you don’t know what your doing this can again do more damage then good. This is where I really started to look into what was the best guide. I have seen YouTube videos that said they would show you Xbox repair but they were either a stupid trick that will not work or missing a lot of information. Then I came across the guide I mentioned earlier and started seeing what other people had to say.

What I found was that it is one of the very best reviewed Xbox Repair guides available and it not only has a written guide but also video tutorials and a professional customer support staff. The videos are all in HD and easy to follow. The written guide is also very precise so if you did miss something in the videos you have it right there in black and white. If your seriously thinking about Xbox repair at home then I would suggest you take a look at

So now that we know a little more about the Red Ring of Death on the Xbox 360 the next question would be on Xbox 360 repair. The first and most important thing to check is if your warranty is still valid. If it is you can send Microsoft your system and they will not charge you for the Xbox Service repair. The only thing you will have to do is pay shipping and wait a little while ( this can actually be a long while sometimes but it is a free fix).

Before I go on let me just make a pretty important warning. There is a lot of crap on YouTube about a towel trick to fix your Xbox Red Ring of Death. It is just that, CRAP. Although in many cases this will get your Xbox 360 fixed it is only temporary and will do more harm then good.  The idea behind the towel trick is that by heating your Xbox 360 up even more you will melt and reconnect the processors to the motherboard. It will work for a couple of days but the damage you do internally will basically destroy your machine.  So let me say this one more time DO NOT USE THE “TOWEL TRICK” there are much better ways to get up and running.

If your warranty has run our or , if like a lot of people you never sent it in then you can still have Microsoft repair your Xbox 360. Only problem here is the cost.  The charge to fix the Red Ring of Death from Microsoft is usually $100 and up. This does not include the shipping charges so your probably looking at spending half of what you paid for the system to get it up and running again. This is where it really becomes decision time. Should you spend the money or just get a newer Xbox 360?  Take heart, there is another, much cheaper solution.

The last option is to fix your Xbox 360 yourself. This can sound very intimidating at first but it’s really not that hard. It will cost you a lot less time and money then sending it to Microsoft. When it comes to Xbox Service the most common problem is the Red Ring Of Death or RROD.  In case you do not know, the Red Ring of Death is when you go to turn on your Xbox 360 and instead of green lights all around the power button you are greeted by 3 flashing red lights (RROD). When this happens your Xbox is basically rendered useless and you can not play at all.

The Red Ring of Death is caused by a fatal Error in your Xbox System. Usually if you have a problem with your system such as it freezes up all you need to do is shut your Xbox 360 down, wait a minute and restart. The RROD is a whole different ball game though. It’s going to take a lot more then a simple restart to fix this problem. If your Xbox 360 is still under warranty then Microsoft will cover the Xbox Service cost, although you will have to ship them your system and wait for them to finish. If the system’s warranty is no longer valid fixing your Xbox 360 can cost a chunk of cash that almost makes it not worth doing.

There are some signs you can look for to see if your headed towards the Xbox Red Ring of Death. One of the biggest is your system freezes up way to often. Everyone will have a freeze from time to time but if it is happening a lot then you may be on your way to RROD city. Another sign would be if your having problems with the graphics during gameplay.

The Xbox Red Ring of Death is not fun and can be a huge inconvenience. Luckily there are simple solutions to quickly and easily solve this problem.
